That being said, I did come away with lots of unexpected treasures…and several will go in my New York suite as I return to continue capturing my take on the city that never sleeps. When next I return, it will be to shoot midtown…and I’ll work out another six or seven shots to acquire. I whittled down my shot list to six salient images that tell a story of Lower Manhattan. Once you’ve finished that, you cut some more.
You list the things you want to shoot, then you look at the time you have, and you start cutting.
So how do you approach one of the world’s great cities in 12 hours? My first adventure was a 12 hour trip to NYC. So, when the opportunity to travel safely arose, I packed light and traveled fast. Having had my wings clipped (as have we all) by C-19, I’ve gone a little stir crazy.
